Considerações sobre os usos das curvas NC na NBR 10.152 à luz da perspectiva beranekiana

The current NBR - 10.152 establishes a procedure for evaluating the sound pressure levels of the internal environment of buildings by a detailed method based on NC curves, which presents divergences from the proposition of the original use of these curves by Beranek, who established them as an evaluative criterion. The distinction between the procedures draws attention since the proponent of them had already warned that the way in which most professionals have used such NC curves is not in line with their original intention. This work points out such divergences and makes considerations that help to clarify its repercussions in studies of acoustic quality in closed spaces. A case study of acoustic quality assessment in rooms used for the application of psychological tests is used as a resource for this purpose.
