Completing nine years of validity in 2022, NBR 15575 [1], known as the performance standard, had its application to all residential buildings started in 2013. During the period of validity of the standard, the different members of the civil construction production chain mobilized and implemented tools such as acoustic projects and tests to meet the criteria prescribed by the standard. There is then the need to verify the compliance of new buildings with the standard and the progress obtained in the field of acoustic performance of residential buildings. Therefore, the present work analyzed 93 results of acoustic performance tests, carried out in Goiás and the Federal District, in which the tested item consisted of partition wall systems between dwellings, where there is a bedroom. The tests of this study were carried out in dwellings from 2014 to 2022, according to ISO 16283-1 procedures [7]. The analysis carried out aimed to: (a) verify if there was an improvement over the years in relation to the acoustic performance levels of NBR 15575 [1]; (b) assess whether there was a relationship between the type of constructive solution used (conventional or special systems) and the level of acoustic performance; and (c) to verify if there was a relationship between the acoustic performance of the studied system and the constructive standard of the building. The number of systems that do not meet the minimum criterion of NBR 15575 [1] is significant, 33%, while 47% met the minimum of the standard. Intermediate and superior performances were considerably lower. Conventional systems have difficulty meeting the minimum performance, and do not reach intermediate and superior levels. Special systems have a low rate of non-compliance, 12%, while conventional systems did not respond in 57% of cases. All building standards mostly meet the minimum level of performance compared to intermediate and superior.
